Fine King of Prussia saltglaze teapot Staffordshire mid 18thc. The teapot is a globular form, applied with a crabstock handle and spout, fully decorated with an 'ermine' ground of darts and dots in black, reserved with a colourful scroll-edged cartouche depicting the hero King Frederick II of Prussia in profile, regally attired and crowned with a laurel wreath, a ribbon above inscribed 'Fred.Prussia Rex'.

Current Condition: Minor restoration.
