An Antique Staffordshire pottery commemorative bust of British Admiral John Jervis, later the Earl St Vincent. The half bust sits on a socle base with relief molded symbols associated with naval battle. The bust is well executed and commemorates one of Britain's naval heroes and his defeat of the Spanish in 1797. The underside of the pedestal of the bust is impressed HERCULANEUM. Pierre Stephan is attributed as the modeler (Re.Myrna Schkolne Volume 4 Staffordshire Figures 1780-1840).

Current Condition: Tip of the nose and minor chip at the socle base professionally restored
