Dated: 1800 English probably Yorkshire or North Country

A rare Prattware pottery figure of a cockerel or hen artistically modeled standing on a green sponge-decorated base. The expressive decoration of the feathers in ochre, brown, and yellow is in the Prattware palette.  The figure is decoratively striking, a substantial size, and is in very good condition.

Dimensions: 7 inches high 6 inches long

Current Condition: Good condition.

Provenance: Collection in Yorkshire England
