Dated: 1800 to 1815 English probably Staffordshire or possibly Devon.

This early 19th-century pottery pearlware glazed figure of a rooster is strikingly modeled and naively painted in underglaze colors of rust orange, mossy green, and cobalt blue. The head of this perky, alert-looking bird is detachable.

Dimensions: 9 inches high

Current Condition: Restored to section of the head at the rim ruff and chip on the comb.
