This Bristol delftware pottery dish is exceptionally painted in yellow, red, green and blue with a peacock perched on a rocky outcrop besides an elegant flowering plant and flanked by two flying insects. The border of the dish has six floral-decorated panels within a red trellis. The reverse of the dish is decorated in blue with a star and dash border, a notable feature of the Bristol Pottery. The dish is in very fine condition.
