A very rare delftware plate with a striking image of King Charles 11 wife Katherine of Braganza and dated 1682 with the initials KR 2nd. After the Popish plot scandal, the plate was made and celebrated the King's decision not to divorce his Catholic wife. Interestingly, the plate uses an incorrect title for her as the " Second," which only applies to King Charles 11.

Current Condition: Several cracks professionally and ethically restored.

Provenance: Previously with the Earl of Clarendon.
