The delftware pottery wall pocket is relief molded with two glazed holes in the back made before firing. The exceptional decoration shows a brightly colored bird perched on a flowering branch surrounded by flowers and a shell at the rim painted in red, yellow, green, blue, brown, and black. The soft spiral form of the wall pocket and the "Fazackerley" decoration are typical features in the Liverpool wares of the mid 18th century.

Dimensions: 9 inches high

Current Condition: Good clean condition with only minor loss of the glaze at the top rim. A fine example.
