English delftware earthenware plate with the image of a strutting peacock amongst trees. The strong colored decoration is painted and sponged in blue, red, yellow, and manganese purple. Several patterns and variations on the "peacock" theme were produced mainly at the Bristol workshops.

Diameter: 9 inches

Current Condition: Minor fritting at rim and of good appearance
