English delftware charger decorated in the Japanese taste attributed to London c1760

The English pottery delftware charger is painted with five double flower motifs on a pseudo fluted border in the Japanese style. This rare piece is attributed to London, dating to the mid-18th century. Significantly the reverse of the dish has an old paper label stating "This plate belonged to Sir Walter Scott Bart. Acquired by Mary Tait, in service at Abbotsford,circa 1821-2 Who bequeathed it to her niece Jessie H. Tait Heatherlie, Selkirk, who presented it to her 2nd cousin Annie P.Boyd or Diddle April 1832 of 362 Perth Road Dundee".
