An exceptionally rare English delftware bowl with images of King William and Queen Mary, made probably at the time of their Coronation at Westminster Abbey London in 1689. The Royal couple are strongly depicted in full regalia, interestly the King,although shorter, is presented as the taller and is a feature found on most delftware pieces. It is most unusual ( possibly unrecorded) to find this representation of the King and Queen on a bowl.

Dimensions: 4 inches high, 9.75 inches wide, 9.75 inches long

Current Condition: Restored cracks at body

Literature: Several references to this type of ware can be found in Michael Archers reference works of the Delftware catalogs of the V and A London and the Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge England.
