This delftware pottery shallow-formed dish is decorated in blue and white with the half portraits of King William and Queen Mary and commemorates the crowning as joint monarchs on 11 April 1689 in Westminster Abbey by the Archbishop of London; the Archbishop of Canterbury refused to participate because he had already sworn allegiance to James II.
