This blue dash bordered delftware charger is decorated in polychrome depicting The Temptation in the Garden of Eden and was probably made at the Bristol Delftworks. Eve is holding an apple to Adam, who stands on the other side of the tree. Each figure holds a strategically placed large leaf. The serpent is coiled around the tree, holding another apple. The sponge-decorated tree has an abundance of the forbidden fruit.

Diameter: 13.25 inches

Current Condition: Restored at the rim and hairline at the body.
