Antique English creamware pottery pitcher, dated 1787,probably Yorkshire pottery. Painted by hand in fine detail with a farmer about to pole-axe his bull. The reverse is inscribed as follows; Mr George Timmes is a qualified Gentleman,Every year with his dog and gun he need not to fear, To everyone my jug is free, who likes smoke and drink with me 1787.
