English brown stoneware tankard the top dipped in an iron wash. An impressed seal excise mark by the handle features a crown over the letter WR for William Rex. The scallop-shaped engraved silver rim of the tankard is stamped in Gothic letters three times with the initials TB. The tankard is in very stable condition despite ancient hairlines at the body.
