Staffordshire white salt-glazed stoneware figure of a fashionable gentleman. These early naive pieces are increasingly rare, apart from the 275 year journey they are so understated that previous generations gave them little heed. Today they represent the very early days of pottery production in England and bring a classic and charming naiveness from those times.

Dimensions: 4.25 inches high

Current Condition: Feint stress hairline at base probably made during making.
