This good pottery figure of a black faced recumbent ewe is hollow based with spectacular underglaze color decoration, a palette associated with the North East of England and Portobello Scotland. The modeling and painting are very expressive, the ewe with a hint of smiling anger. The base has relief decorations of flowers and foliage.

Dimensions: 4.75 inches high 6 inches long

Current Condition: No restoration and in excellent condition.
