Description
This Cambrian Pottery pearlware coffee pot is decorated in underglaze blue and white. The decorative patterns are known as the Elephant and Howdah and the Prince of Wales Feathers with musical instruments within a garland of flowers. The pot is in excellent condition and one of the best examples of its kind. The engravings are attributed to Thomas Rothwell. The earliest know date of production of the Elephant and Howdah pattern is 1794.
