A fine, handsome blue and white platter with an underglaze transfer print commemorating The Battle of Waterloo circa 1826 from the British History Series produced by Jones and Co. of Hanley Stoke upon Trent, England. The image shows Wellington on his horse, Copenhagen, surveying the field of battle and issuing his orders.
The dramatic border features military symbols of war and victory, including a crown and mitre surrounded by floral emblems of the United Kingdom.
