A rare earthenware delftware deep sided plate in blue and white. The plate is naively and strongly decorated with the figure of a standing ewe. The period rendition is striking with the ewe almost appearing to be crossed with a horse. The border is Chinese inspired and there are seven concentric circles in total. The reverse of the plate has the painters initial "N".

Current Condition: Fine unrestored condition with very minor historical wear.
