This rare enamel patch box is finely decorated with a royal portrait of Queen Charlotte, the wife of King George 111. The beautiful portrait is finely decorated on the hinged dome-shaped cover with a  white background colored magenta, blue, yellow, and brown. The Queen is illustrated in a striking royal pose. Her headband is inscribed " Long Live The King". This would acknowledge the King's return to health in 1789. The base of the box is a soft, pale pink.

Current Condition: Fine condition with only minor historical wear at the base in accord with age.
