A rare Astbury Whieldon pottery figure of a Scottish piper. He stands wearing a kilt in Scottish regalia while playing the pipes. It is decorated in colored underglaze oxides in the classic Whieldon fashion with a brown variegated clay in the Astbury manner. The figure is modeled with engaging detail and is one of the best examples of its type.  

Dimensions: 6.25 inches high

Current Condition: Restored at pipes, neck and wrist.
