A fine 18th century Toby jug with exceptional quality coloured glaze decoration and made by the master potter Ralph Wood of Burslem Staffordshire. The smiling figure is holding a jug of frothing ale and a smoking pipe is resting between his legs. He is wearing a colorful outfit of blue jacket, green waistcoat with yellow and pale blue trousers.

Dimensions: 10 inches high, 6.75 inches wide, 5 inches long

Current Condition: Restored minor chip at hat with associated fine hairline and tips of finger on right hand which is professionally , invisibly and expertly executed.

Provenance: Has original label of D.M and P.Manheim.
