Dated: 1800 to 1810 Staffordshire England.

A large and imposing pottery figure of "Paris" in pearlware standing on an elaborate rococo shaped base.. The figure is inspired by the classic story of the Judgement of Paris where he presents the apple to Venus after her victory over Juno and Minerva. The figure is Staffordshire in origin and is a rare piece from the early 19th century. The only other known example is located in the famous Earle Collection (ref 451).
