A large scale pottery pearlware watch stand figure representing Father Time. The figure is modeled as an angel and holds a coiled serpent a symbol of eternal life, a scythe (replaced) is held in his raised hand. This dramatic and compelling figure is well modeled and decorated in enamels. The face of Father time is benign which softens the reality represented.The centre of the serpent is fashioned to hold a watch on a hook at the back.

Dimensions: 18 inches high

Current Condition: Restored at base and wing, the scythe a recent addition.
