Antique Staffordshire pottery pitcher with a strong copper lustre band and two transfer prints. One illustrates the famous sporting dog with the wonderful name NUDGER. The script below the image of the canine states "Hark to Nudger see how he goes. The trail before him and that he knows. The transfer on the reverse of the jug states Nudger's various talents and his experiences with the famous Saddleworth Hunt in England. A very charming and amusing piece of antique English pottery with a strong social context.
