Description
A good example of an antique Staffordshire pottery pearlware figure group known as “Persuasion”. This figure is one of the best decorative and appealing pieces produced in the Staffordshire potteries in the early 19th century.
The figure captures the moment the suitor offers his coy looking girl friend a ring as an offer of betrothal whilst a figure of a dog looks benignly on.
This figure has the “pine cone” bocage and is beautifully coloured and modelled.
