This rare pottery bocage pearlware figure group shows male and female figures with a group of four dogs dressed in human attire. The male figure plays the pipes, and the female holds a puppy wearing a blue hat in her arms. A delightful, comical group from the Staffordshire potters and made in the early 19th century

Dimensions: 8.75 inches high

Current Condition: It is professionally restored at the paws, female hand, arm, neck, the hand of the male figure, the tip of the pipes, and at bocage.

Literature: Myrna Schkolne Book, People,Passions,Pastimes and Pleasures Staffordshire Figures circa 1810-35 page 118 illustrates a similar figure.
