Antique Staffordshire porcelain figure of a hedgehog early 19th century England, made by Samuel Alcock. The hedgehog is modeled on a mauve rocky shaped base and is a very rare figure. D.G. Rice in his reference work on English porcelain animals comments" Hedgehogs in porcelain are very rare" He also noted that an Alcock figure existed which undoubtedly is the same model as shown on the website.

Dimensions: 2.5 inches high, 3 inches wide, 2.5 inches long

Current Condition: Restored spikes.
