Description
A large silver lustre pottery pitcher decorated with enamel colours and bearing the legend in bold letters “PEACE AND TRADE”.
The jug is alos strongly decorated under the spout with the Prince of Wales three feathers insignia. Produced at the time of jubilation at the defeat of the French at Waterloo in circa 1815 a true commemorative.
This pitcher is one of the finest examples in silver luster I have ever seen.
The scale of the lustreware piece is 11 inches by 13 inches across deceptively large.
