Pearlware Staffordshire pottery figure group of a Baptism with enamel colours. The group of figures are modelled standing in front of a clock tower which has a steps leading to a table with ritual objects associated with Christenings. The group features some unusual figures such as a woman holding a baby under her cloak, a small child standing with a hat and a portly gentleman with the baby and pastor. The piece is a charming insight into the important event.

Dimensions: 5.75 inches high, 8 inches wide, 4 inches long

Current Condition: Two figures restored.
