A rare figure group of a cow, calf and a standing milkmaid who is wearing a "leg of mutton" sleeved dress", (a charming feature rarely found on similar items). The figure is well decorated with Pratt colours and dates to the early 19th century, made in Yorkshire England. This model is one of the best examples of its type.
