A rare large scale pottery pearlware figure of a horse with a marbleized effect coat standing square on a green oblong base with a maroon stripe. The horse is wearing a white bridle with blue terminals. These figures emanating from the Leeds pottery are perhaps one of the most vibrant figures made in the early 19th century. Such figures were used as a display medium for equestrian Sadlers, feed suppliers, and veterinarians.
Dimensions: 16.5 inches high, 14 inches wide, 7.25 inches long
Current Condition: Restored at ears and legs.
