Description
A rare and good size Fremington Pottery jardiniere with stand scraffito decorated through the honey coloured slip with naive rendition of flowers.
Made by Edwin Beer Fishley ( note a similar piece is inscribed with his name).
The red clay planter is a classic “plant pot” form with a central drainage hole. The naive decoration is charming and to find this piece complete with the original pedestal is a rare occurrence.
A fine folk art piece from this North Devon Pottery.
