A fine antique period Yorkshire pottery Prattware toby jug. The figure is strongly painted in underglaze mustard, blue and black colors with a pearlware glaze in the typical Pratt fashion. The modelling on the handle is extremely well executed with it figurative caryatid. The spongeware decoration on the base is a classic feature of the Yorkshire Potters.
