A rare Yorkshire pottery pearlware model of a coble boat decorated in enamel colors and modeled with five seating struts. Reputedly these models, all differently colored, were hung in the window of fisherman's cottages, their boat could be recognized by customers who may wish to rent having seen the actual vessel in the harbor. This is a particularly elegant example. These beautiful boats are still used today mainly on the eastern coast of England. Note that the design of the hull enables the boats to be landed directly on the beach.

Dimensions: 3.5 inches high 16 inches long

Current Condition: Unrestored and in good condition with some minor flaking to the enamels and very faint fine stable hairline on one of the seats.
