Antique creamware pottery melon tureen with a fixed leaf shaped stand and cover. The body colour is a definite cream and the tureen is very elegantly modelled with trailing vines and decorated with flowers and leaves in a dark matt purple. This rare and stylish piece is probably the work of the Wedgwood Pottery in Staffordshire.

Dimensions: 5 inches high, 8 inches wide

Current Condition: Some chips at inner rims and at vines professionally and invisibly restored .
