An extremely rare and fine plain creamware pottery basket with inner green container complete with reticulated plain creamware cover with acorn finial ( Bouqutiere) . The piece is delicately potted and is exquisite in its refinement, perhaps one of the best examples of tableware produced in creamware in the late 18th century. It would have been used to present an elegant assortment of vegetables or fruit at the table. The green container is impressed with the numerals "30" and the basket base is impressed NEALE & CO.
