A rare antique English salt-glaze agateware pottery figure of a seated cat. The variegated clay decoration is excellently rendered, and the saltglaze has patches of cobalt blue decoration at the ears and the body. The figure is a rarer and larger version than usual and is especially attractive without the usual addition of a captured mouse hanging from the mouth.

Dimensions: 5 inches high, 3.5 inches wide, 2.5 inches long

Current Condition: Well executed restoration to crack stemming from the base rim.
