An unusually large spherical formed solid agate-ware lead-glazed teapot and cover. The finely made pot sits on three mask-headed paw feet, the handle is the crab stock type, and the cover features a bird finial. The body is molded in two halves and joined horizontally in the middle.  

Dimensions: 5.75 inches high 7.5 inches long

Current Condition: Professional restoration at the rim, tip of the spout and at the birds neck on the finial.

Provenance: Retains paper label of Jonathan Horne.

Literature: A similar smaller version is featured in the Sampson Horne Exhibition in 2009 ref 9-17
