A true pair of hollow-based, naively modeled pottery figures of resting lions, their coats are sponge decorated in black, and the bases are green, all underglaze. It is rare to find a pair of this type from the last quarter of the 18th century.  

Dimensions: 2.5 inches high 3.5 inches long

Current Condition: Unrestored with only minor signs of chipping at base in accord with age.

Provenance: Private Collection Somerset.
