Description
A delftware pottery charger decorated with King William standing wearing a crown and flourishing a sword in his right hand, his left hand resting on his hip. He stands flanked between trees that have green-turquoise foliage, there are are two manganese circumference lines within the rim and the initials WR. The charger is strikingly impressive and was made around the time of Williams’s coronation at Westminster Abbey in 1689.
