A large blue and white pottery platter with an underglaze transfer print of the famous DURHAM OX with the proud owner, John Day. The print is inspired by John Boultbee (1753-1812). This pattern is one of the rarest blue and white wares from the early 19th century and still remains " unattributed," the maker enigmatically illusive.

Current Condition: Unrestored with some minor wear in the cavetto in accord with age and use.
