A jug in a traditional form, the Collier seated and with a colorful dot decorated foaming jug in both hands resting on his left knee,  his face painted in distinctive washes of brown, wearing an ochre coat, blue breeches, and striped socks. The jug is painted in Pratt colors the chair and handle are sponged decorated. A colorful example full of character displays the warm personality of the coal miner, which can be observed through his coal-streaked countenance.
