This small elegant teapot is an early creamware body lead glazed piece decorated in running color oxide of brown, green, and yellow in the Thomas Whieldon manner. The cover has a beaded border and a flower head finial with a smaller flower head and leaves surrounding it. The pot's diminutive scale indicates the high cost of tea in the mid-18th century.

Dimensions: 4.5 inches high

Current Condition: Minor restoration at cover and tip of spout, there is a feint ancient hairline at the body.
