This miniature pottery pearlware money bank model of a house is decorated in blue, maroon, and green. The house has five windows, the tile roof has a central peak, and the blue studded door has a peaked-shaped surround with three steps leading to the entrance. This simple piece is deceptively and delightfully detailed and was probably a charming gift given in the early 1800-10 period. The color palette suggests North Country English or Scottish Pottery.
