This rare English delftware shoe is painted in blue with a profusion of flowers, leaves, and four birds and is dated 1707 under the arch. The shoe is high-heeled with a molded buckle. A similar example, also dated 1707, is located in the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford England, and illustrated in English Delftware Pottery in the Robert Hall Warren Collection by Anthony Ray

Dimensions: 4.75 inches high 6 inches long

Current Condition: Unrestored with only minor signs of historical wear in accord with age.
