A fine Staffordshire pottery pearlware bust of Neptune with quality enamel decoration. The king of the sea is draped with green-scaled fish skin and orange fins and tail. The bust rests on a pink splash luster socle base.
At the back of the base is the impressed date 1826. The figure is in exceptional condition representing the best of its type.
