English delftware posset pot and cover 17th century Brislington or Bristol

The delftware posset pot was made at the Bristol or Brislington delftworks at the end of the 17th century, and it is a round-bellied form with a short neck painted in blue outlined in manganese.The scene shows a standing Chinese figure in a garden surrounded by plants, rocks, and a fence. The scroll-shaped handles and the spout are painted with blue dashes. The cover has similar decoration to the base with a button-type finial. The pot is in very good condition. The lid is complete and has been sympathetically and honestly museum restored .

Current Condition: The pot is in good unrestored condition, and the lid which is original and complete has been museum repaired,( Stabilized but showing repair).
