Yorkshire pottery Prattware cow and calf figure with female attendant circa 1810

Dated: 1800 to 1810 Yorkshire England

The figure group comprises a cow and her calf attended by a female attendant who holds a basket of berries or flowers. The piece is very well decorated, the cow with dark orange patches outlined in black, the calf with orange and blue spots, and the girl wearing a large bonnet and dressed in a blue blouse and dark mossy green colored apron. The oval green base is sponge decorated with blue, black, and orange in the classic Yorkshire style. The figure is an exceptionally fine example.

Dimensions: 6 inches high 6.75 inches long

Current Condition: one udder chipped otherwise in fine condition with no restoration.
