A fine English brown stoneware tankard decorated with good quality sprigs related to a stag hunt with a male equestrian, dogs and attendant. The rim of the tankard is finely engraved with a silversmith impressed mark. The sprigs and quality led to the attribution of The Kishere Pottery, located in Mortlake London from the late 18th century.

Current Condition: Minor ancient feint stable hairline at the base of the handle.
